The NEWLY RENOVATED CROWNE PLAZA COLORADO SPRINGS is looking for talented FRONT DESK MANAGER!!   The ideal candidate is hospitality professional with 2+ years of Front Office supervisory experience in large full-service hotel.  MUST have open schedule with flexibility.  Join the DHM team and make a difference while growing your career with nationwide hotel management company!

In this key role, you will manage the front desk, reservations staff, and guest services staff to deliver excellence in customer service.  You MUST have schedule flexibility for this position.  Please do not apply if you are not qualified. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage front office, reservations and guest services staff, and resolve guest concerns.
  • Actively recruit, train, motivate, develop, and monitor staff to attain and maintain superior customer service levels with quality care.
  • Monitor lobby traffic and make staffing adjustments as needed.
  • Manage the reservation function to maintain the highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate.
  • Inspire team and train suggestive selling techniques.
  • Update systems, monitor special reservation requests, oversee rate changes, track trends, and respond to guests. 
  • Handle VIP reservations and assist with guest service.
  • Develop forecasts and reports, analyze data, and make recommendations.
  • Implement, maintain, and correct procedures for credit control, financial transactions, security of financial assets, and guest security.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses while maximizing profitability for Guest Services department.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term financial and operational plans for the guest service department and help with budget.
  • Effectively and pleasantly respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of front office and guest service supervisory experience.  Hotel or similar brand experience, a plus.
  • High school education and relevant training/experience required.  Four year degree or additional education preferred.
  • Dedicated, hard-working, reliable, results-oriented hospitality management professional. 
  • Solid supervisory experience with ability to develop and mentor team.
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills; excel in guest satisfaction and service scores.
  • Maintain positive attitude, professionalism, and create positive work environment.
  • Clear, effective written and spoken English communication skills to communicate with guests, staff, and public.  Multilingual, a plus!
  • Solid skills in Office, Excel, Word, accounting and hotel software: registration, reservations, etc.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task and excel in fast paced environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Able to analyze data, make solid business decisions, and develop management reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and able to implement compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Able to lift/pull/push up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Open schedule with flexibility to work shifts.
