Job Description:
Meyer Jabara Hotels is seeking an experienced career minded sales professional for the new Hyatt Place in Dewey Beach, DE (Opening Summer 2013). This dynamic individual must love to sell and will be responsible for securing new accounts with a focus on Corporate and Social Group accounts, Business Transient accounts and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining excellent service.
Job Responsibilities: The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers in order to achieve revenue goals. In addition to being directly responsible for their own base of group and transient accounts, the Director of Sales will lead the Marketing efforts of the hotel and work closely with the Regional Revenue Manager to maximize all room revenue opportunities. This candidate will also work closely with the General Manager to develop an ongoing pro-active Business Plan to include budget preparation and active involvement in all applicable industry trade show, sales blitzes, and community networking events. The DOS will also work closely with the Catering sales staff in order to maximize all total revenue opportunities. The Director of Sales will also be expected to be a hotel leader in terms of customer service and be continually developing new and creative ideas to differentiate the guest experience.
