Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for Safety and Security Officer positions. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best.
 

This description is intended to be generic in nature. It does not include all specific duties and responsibilities of the position:
*Cooperates, works, and provides assistance to other employees, members, and guest.
*Provides care and maintenance and is accountable for all issued equipment.
*Stays current with all policies, procedures and guidelines established by Dallas Country Club, Private Security Bureau and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
*Checks doors, windows, fences and gates for security, secures and reports unsecure areas. Checks lighting, reports lights not working and reports other maintenance needs, turns on lights needed for safety or security.
*Responds to alarms and other calls for service and decides what actions to take based on the situation , and facts known.
*Prepares reports which are complete and accurate. Provides written and oral reports to supervisors.
*Observes, reports and makes appropriate contact with criminal violators, issues traffic violation warnings, monitors closed circuit video cameras, and conducts traffic surveys.
*Provides first responder medical care to sick and injured persons.
*Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Safety & Security and Management..
*Fulfills any specific function or assignment such as valet, shuttle driver, maintenance or other position as needed, and maintains skills to accomplish Dallas Country Club mission.

RECENT MILITARY EXPERIENCE A PLUS.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Ability to read and review such items as professional journals and publications, legislative data, and interpret ordinances, state laws, reports and updates regarding criminal activity. Ability to write and complete a variety of written reports and memos, which may be used in a court of law. Skill in the operation of various, and basic office equipment, communications devices, as well as computers. Employee must maintain physical fitness.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification:
(A) High School or GED education.
(B) Valid Texas vehicle operator license.
(C) Speak and write English language.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include visual acuity of at least 20/100 correctable to 20/20, close vision, distance vision, normal color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Normal hearing in each ear. Height and weight in proportion to size.

Ability to sit, stand and transport self from building to building. Sufficient physical strength and stamina to bend, run, lift equipment and crawl into small spaces in order to perform rescue activities. May ride in patrol vehicle or walk for extended periods on a walking beat.
