CULINAIRE, a dynamic, privately-owned food and beverage management company is seeking a dynamic, high energy Food and Beverage Operations Manager for the prestigious Guthrie Theater in downtown Minneapolis. 

As Food and Beverage Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Directing and organizing the daily activities of the banquet and dining operations in order to maintain the highest standards in quality, service and merchandising. 
  • Timeliness and efficient service of all banquet functions
  • Preparing weekly forecast of revenues, labor cost and expenses to ensure financial goals are met
  • Hiring, training and development of associates
  • Providing a professional and caring work environment
  • Providing a "Guest First" approach
  • Adherence to company standards and service levels and ensuring that correct and consistent service techniques are demonstrated by all associates at all times
  • Preparing associate schedules which will allow for the appropriate service levels while controlling expenses in line with budget.

 

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior banquet management experience supervising no less than 30 associates in an upscale hotel, country club, or catering venue
  • Strong knowledge of banquet set ups, timing, service styles and creativity with unique buffet and station presentations
  • Excellent verbal, employee relations and people development skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Proven time management skills
  • Proven ability to resolve problems constructively
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Word,  Excel and Outlook computer skills
  • Consistent career progression, along with supporting, enthusiastic references 
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management is preferred
