Job Description

To meet or exceed established guest service standards and perform all responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner. Accurately process reservation transactions. Input transient, wholesale, and group reservations. Interact with both internal and external guests via telephone, fax and email.

  • To be friendly, courteous and helpful to all individuals, both internal and external.
  • To be able to make reservations in a timely, accurate and courteous manner.
  • To assist guests with requests whenever possible via phone, fax or email.
  • To command a good knowledge of the property management system.
  • To provide accurate information to all guest inquiries via phone, fax or email.
  • To command a working knowledge of the rates, bed types and special features of all guest rooms and suites.
  • To command a working knowledge of all hotel amenities and facilities.
  • To command a working knowledge of all special rates/packages—requirements, restrictions, special arrangements, and services/amenities included.
  • Sell the “Disney experience” to the guest.

Job Requirements

Working Hours: Flexible

Conditions: Able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work on telephone or computer for long periods of time.

Experience: Previous hotel or data entry experience. Previous sales, customer service, or telemarketing experience.

Other requirements: Knowledge of computers. Able to read, write and speak fluent English. Bilingual a plus but not required. High school diploma or GED equivalency certification.

Knowledgeable in INNTIME & OPERA systems a plus

  • Be familiar with all meetings, conventions and groups in the resort.
  • To be familiar with all departments in the resort and their functions and policies.
  • Complete any tracking logs as requested by management in a timely and consistent manner
  • Be familiar with all area attractions
  • To learn and practice proper telephone procedures regarding answering phones, placing calls or transferring calls.
  • Wear the correct uniform at all times, including name tag.
  • To know and correctly quote all payment and cancelations policies.
  • To be familiar with and adhere to office policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of hotel occupancy and inventory at all times.
  • Adhere to all revenue and rate strategies
  • Review Res-Check and make any necessary corrections within 48 hours
  • Review and initial department memo book daily
  • Complete FIT’s daily, fax or email back to vendor and file within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Attend monthly department meeting.

The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
