Job Description

The Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown is currently looking for a self-motivated, hotel-passionate candidate for a PT Front Desk Agent position.  The successful candidate will be welcoming, efficient, professional, and determined to contribute to a guest service culture that has held the #1 ranking out of 52 hotels on Trip Advisor for  over one year.

The hospitality industry is unique in that it requires commitment 24 hours a day. Our Front Desk Agent will provide guests with a great experience and anticipate needs to achieve the best possible service in the most caring and courteous manner so they will want to come back for more!


 

Job Requirements

* Maintain warm, sincere demeanor when greet and servicing all guests, as dictated by the FHG & Hilton service standards.  

* Check guest in, ensuring proper payment is received, special requests are noted & fulfilled, and accurate information is established.

* Serve as concierge for all guest inquiries, providing answers, suggestions, reservations, and directions in timely manner.
* Answer the telephone in a professional manner, treating all callers as potential guests of our hotel.

* Communicate with all departments and managers, using personal email account, and two-way radios when necessary.

* Display professional etiquette during all interactions with guests and fellow associates.
* Be aware of all rates, special promotions, and add-on packages, preparing and maintaining reservations based on specifications

* Effectively identify and resolve problems that arise, ensuring the guest experience is at the center of the solution.
* Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Hotel policies.
* Maintain house bank and handle all checks and cash according to Hotel policies and procedures.

* Practice punctuality and timeliness when it comes to scheduled shifts and hotel-related functions.

* Adhere to dress code and grooming policies.
* Follow set procedures on posting charges, settling guest accounts, issuing and closing safe deposits, and providing refunds or allowances.
* Actively solicit guest feedback.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
*Previous hotel Front Desk experience preferred.
*Previous performance of excellent guest service skills a must.
*Proficiency in the English language both verbal and written.
*Excellent mathematical skills and previous cash-handling experience..
*Organizational skills including follow-through, problem solving, and communication.
*Knowledgeable of OnQ property management system (PMS) helpful.
