Hyatt Regency Lexington is a 366-room, full-service hotel in the heart of downtown Lexington, KY. The Hotel is connected to the Lexington Convention Center and Rupp Arena and together can offer 157,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate over 9,000 guests for full service meals.
 

Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for short and long term planning and day-to-day operations of the group, catering and convention services departments.  Position will partner with General Manager and Director of Revenue Management in setting the hotel's selling strategy guidelines.  Position is responsible for preparation of the annual strategic sales plan, annual budget, training, and direction of the sales, catering and convention services staff.  Requirements include: advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession.

Applicant for this position should have previous experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing at a full service hotel capable of effectively managing the varied hospitality disciplines within the sales and catering revenue generating disciplines. Minimum of 10 years experience as full service hotel DOSM preferred.

Applicant should possess strong situational leadership skills capable of building an effective team through hands on, delegation and levels of accountability with a commitment to achieving budgeted revenues and making positive contributions to the hotel and organization.

Experience interacting with CVB leadership, Chamber of Commerce, or other community service organizations is preferred

Minimum of 10 years experience
Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Participate in the Manager on Duty program
