Position: Beach Club & Recreation Manager

Position Summary:

Department Head level position, responsible for the overall financial goals and operation of the Club membership, Fitness Center and Recreation program at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Establish the functional areas of club membership, fitness center and Camp CeSar under one new department, creating and establishing the processes, procedures, checklists and control systems necessary to operate the department. 10%
  • Develop and enhance the membership program and recreation. 20%
  • Actively grows the membership in accordance with sales targets, and develop revenue streams from the recreation program. 10%
  • Works to manage the labor standards, payroll and expenses to the budget. 5%
  • Manage the team members and third party consultants, administer schedules, handle payroll and commissions, recruitment, training, performance reviews, coaching and discipline. 5%
  • Establish relationships, liaise and interact with members of the club and registered guests, handling all member complaints and issues. 5%
  • Responsible for maintaining guest, membership and team member safety in all areas. 5%
  • Follow, adhere and enforce all policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook. 5%
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, employees. 5%
  • Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions. 5%
  • Remains current and informed with hotel information and changes. 5%
  • Works closely with other department heads to promote the amenities and financial opportunities of the Club and Recreation department. 5%
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent operating condition of all equipment and work area, in conjunction with Engineering and Housekeeping, and a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. 5%
  • Provides regular reporting and key financial statistics on the membership, revenue streams, labor, expenses and capital needs, membership utilization and program participation. 5%
  • Responsible for ordering supplies and conducting monthly inventories. 3%
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to establish annual marketing plan, collateral and budget, to promote the membership and recreation program offerings. 5%
  • Develop and conduct new member enrollment and orientation. 2%
  • Establish the appropriate access controls to ensure the facility and amenities are only being used by those authorized to do so. 5%
