Job Description

Cooks are responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary culinary and stewarding operations for generating and insuring above the line, associate and guest satisfaction. Cooks manage all food production, storage and safe handling thereof. Cooks guarantee consistent and healthful meals are provided in a timely, organized manner up to and beyond the specifications of the property.

Job Requirements

* Skillfully use of hand tools or machines needed for your work.
* Read directions for the items to be made.
* Measure, cut or otherwise work on materials or objects with great precision.
* Use arithmetic or shop geometry to figure amounts of material needed,
dimensions to be followed and be cost effective with the materials.
* Do all assigned side work and Prep requirements.
* Project a professional image of the hotel in uniform, appearance and overall actions.
* Meet or exceed department guest service feedback, complaint goals.
* Ability to work entire shift standing and moving about in restaurant or kitchen.
* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
* Apply safety fundamentals in all areas.
* Must be able to lift 35 lbs from a bent or squat position and carry at shoulder level.
* Must be able to stoop, squat, kneel, bend, push, pull, etc.
* Able to taste and smell recipes and or odors.
* Must be able to work alone without supervision and work well with others.
