Hampton Inn & Suites Navarre is currently seeking a highly motivated sales professional to prospect, sell and maintain group accounts. This is a senior level sales manager position that provides great opportunity for career growth within the Hotel Equities portfolio of hotels.
Job Requirements:
* 2+years experience as hotel sales manager
* Well organized and detail oriented
* Ability to work independently, establish and prioritize sales and marketing programs and evaluate hotel revenues
* Effective communicator with excellent customer/guest service skills
* Quick learner with strong work ethics
* Proven success in maintaining and building relationships with existing accounts while aggressively developing new business
* Represent the hotel in professional manner with customers, staff and community
* Flexible work schedule that may include evenings or weekends
Responsibilities/Skills required:
* Increase revenues by focusing on development of multiple markets and trends
* Implement sales strategies and develop creative marketing techniques
* Qualify and assess sales opportunities that will impact overall revenue
* Promptly and professionally respond to guests questions and concerns
* Conduct site tours, prepare proposals and contracts
* Attend networking events as required
* Follow established company policies and procedures
* Willingness and drive to secure new business, a proven track record of converting prospects into long term clients
* Hands-on professional with a passion to motivate others and a willingness to personally demonstrate a successful method of selling beyond goals and expectations
* Have knowledge and experience in writing, directing and executing marketing and action plans annually and quarterly
* Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sale presentations to prospective clients. Internally promote the hotel's programs. Meet with and entertain clients, some of which will require travel.
* Excellent skills in team building, selecting talent, training, mentoring and developing a sales team and achieving goals
* Extensive experience in managing the daily operations, directing the effort, executing and exceeding weekly sales call goals, teleprospecting calls, hotel site tours and cold calls goals
* Managing the sales effort through forecasting, budgeting and yield management to achieve and exceed top line goals
* Drive revenues through new business opportunities and develop a strong customer base
* Excellent communication skills to establish strong customer relationships
* 3-5 years of hotel sales leadership experience, knowledge of local area a plus!
