Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Controller, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
* Verify, monitor, and review all hotel revenue reports and night audit reports.
* Insure that daily revenues and settlements are in balance
* Monitor the completion and distribution of daily in-house Flash Reports
* Maintain daily hours worked in Watson Labor Management System; prepare daily labor report
* Insure that the banquet department's revenue postings are correct and follow up on errors and discrepancies
* Verify and/or reconcile all revenue centers as reported in the Income Journal daily
* Review and balance rebates, paid outs, miscellaneous charges and staff charges to the Property Management System
* Monitor rebates, allowances, house charges, and paid-out amounts to ensure that each account is properly authorized and has relevant explanations
* Prepare Daily Operations Package
* Review Food & Beverage voids to verify authorization and adequate backup information
* Reconcile banquet event orders with all banquet guest checks
* Review the night audit's balance of the food and beverage revenue against the food and beverage point of sales system
* Review and balance all miscellaneous revenues such as laundry, telephone, movies, and garage departments
* Reconcile the guest ledger, the accounts receivable, and the advance deposits ledgers
* Prepare and insure the accuracy of the hotel's Daily Revenue Report
* Assist with month-end closing and subsequent analysis of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts as directed by the Assistant Controller
* Prepare bank reconciliations
* Prepare monthly Forecast preparation
* Reconcile and monitor designated balance sheet accounts
* Maintain daily hours worked in Watson Labor Management System; prepare daily labor report
* Prepare daily Income Journal posting
* Prepare month-end journal entries
* Complete all standard reconciliation templates according to company policy
* Assist in General Cash Functions including surprise cash counts as required
* Other duties as assigned

* Previous experience is an asset
* Previous hotel accounting experience at a supervisory/managerial level
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Ability to motivate employees
* Proven leadership skills
* Familiarity with Opera, Accounting Manager, Reporting Manager, Micros, Excel, Word
* Accounting designation or enrollment in a recognized Accounting Program
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
* Frequent sitting throughout shift
* Long hours may sometimes be required
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
* Previous hotel accounting experience at a supervisory/managerial level
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Ability to motivate employees
* Proven leadership skills
* Familiarity with Opera, Accounting Manager, Reporting Manager, Micros, Excel, Word
* Accounting designation or enrollment in a recognized Accounting Program
