The InterContinental Milwaukee is currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef. The dining experience consist of our signature restaurant, Kil@Wat, CLEAR as well as Banquets, which is an extension of our restaurant. As an Executive Sous Chef you are invited to assist in the menu planning, modify and or create your own dishes. As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for developing upcoming talent as well as assisting current staff to achieve their culinary goals.

We offer various trainings such as leadership development, behavioral interviewing, sexual harassment awareness, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as well as Brand Training. This position requires the ability to lead by example and most importantly create the environment that people want to work in with pride. We believe that a positive environment is what sets us apart from the rest and look to our department managers to make this a reality.

As an Exec Sous Chef with InterContinental Milwaukee you'll be expected to:
*open or close the kitchen
*Effectively communicate and connect with staff and guests alike
*Maintain food quality standards - including consistency and presentation
*Interview, Train and Develop BOH staff
*Lead with Passion and by Example
*Manage production in the kitchen
*Maintain all menus and recipes used in the restaurant, CLEAR, Outdoor dining and Banquets
* Adhere to all cost and quality control procedures
* Ensure proper receiving and storage of food products so as to comply with health department regulations;
The ideal candidate will be familiar with our cuisine as well as be familiar with working in a hotel setting.

The right candidate will be an organized professional who has the ability to interact positively with customers and to resolve guest and associate issues. This position is great for someone that enjoys going above and beyond for guests while working in a supportive team atmosphere.
