Catering Sales Manager

Job Description:

Schulte Hospitality Group, and energetic and growing hospitality management company is seeking a creative and highly motivated sales leader as a Catering Sales Manager, for the Sheraton St. Paul Woodbury.

The successful Candidate will have the ability to build revenues by:

• Promoting and selling the hotel to groups and individuals locally and regionally
• Develop and maintain relationships with local catering and  meeting accounts
• Foster relationships with local CVB and Chambers of Commerce
• Identify and analyze the competitions strengths and weaknesses
• Prospect, qualify and follow through on sales leads and identify new sources of catering  business
• Developing and maintaining an achievable Catering Marketing Plan

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Directing all Catering Sales related activities and marketing efforts for the property.
*Maximizing  Catering food and beverage and room rental revenues to meet and exceed the hotel's revenue and profit objectives.
*Develop and maintain positive relationships with local and businesses.

Job Requirements:

 

• Previous Catering Sales  experience (preferably with a major Brand) with a proven track record for success in sales and revenue
• Exceptional service and customer relations skills with ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management and clientele.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts
• Computer literacy is required with above average skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with hotel sales software such as SalesPro or Delphi.
• Experience with Starwood Brand Preferred
