We are seeking a creative, flexible and high energy Assistant Banquet Manager for our hotel. The Assistant Banquet Manager reports to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities include assist in directing and operating the Banquet Department, working closely with other departments to form a cohesive and successful team, scheduling for Banquet Department, achieving budgeted goals, hiring, training, and coaching staff and maintaining the high standards of our hotel.

Essential Job Functions:
* Supervises Servers, Bartenders, and House Persons in service, room set-ups, and clean up.
* Organizes Banquet Department with respect to schedules, event orders, group resumes, and banquet checks
* Timeliness of all administrative duties
* Identifies training opportunities; develops action plan to help associates accomplish goals
* Handles guests with upmost courtesy and expediency
* Ensures the profitability of the Banquet Department and achieves budgeted labor percentage.
* Assists in keeping necessary inventories on equipment, food and beverage items
* Maintains equipment and meeting space in top condition and notify the appropriate department of any needs or repairs
* Acts with professionalism and diplomacy at all times
* Other duties as requested
