General Manager

Seeking a Hotel Manager to be responsible for achieving optimal guest satisfaction and a good working environment for employees while maintaining a reasonable return on capital for the investor.  The Hotel Manager shall see to the implementation of optimal and attractive services, based on pre-agreed marketing plans and budgets. 

• Developing improvement actions to increase revenue and reduce cost.
• Balance and understand the revenue / cost equation in all services provided by the property.
• Safeguard quality of operations (internal & external audits).
• Coordinate planning with Department Heads and Assistant Managers with regard to time-tables, work schedules, and other employment matters.
• Recruitment and hiring of new staff and execution of performance reviews and training of staff.
• Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads in their absence.
• Lead various internal and external meetings.
• Supervise compliance with employment law at all times.

This position is available at the Best Western Plus located in Eagan, Minnesota.  It is a 108 room property with banquet space and is owned by a Minnesota based investor who owns 2 other hotel properties in the Twin Cites along with various other local businesses.  Please do not contact the property directly.  Resumes will only be accepted via email.

Education: General education related to hospitality at the middle and higher management level.

Work experience:  At least 3 years experience within the hotel industry in Hotel Management.
