Job Description

ONE UN New York is a luxury European-style hotel with 427 rooms and 9,000 square feet of meeting space, catering to a varied international clientele. The Food & Beverage Manager reports to the Director of F&B and is responsible for ensuring that our guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their stay from arrival until departure.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Supervise day-to-day shift activities of one or more food and beverage outlet(s).
*Schedule associates to ensure proper shift coverage. Assist in communicating and enforcing policies and procedures.
*Assist in monitoring performance of food and beverage outlet(s) through analysis of guest feedback. *Respond appropriately to guests complaints. Maintain appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
*Responsible for food and beverage staff, facilities, sales and costs to ensure maximum departmental profit is achieved.
*Monitors associates hours and is fully responsible for payroll costs.
*Follows up on any request/messages from all shifts.
*Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
*Must be able to use good judgment and work independently in a multi-task position within a dynamic based
environment with solid time-management, organizational and people skills
*Attends various departmental and in-house meetings

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
*College degree
*Minimum of 2-3 years experience in F&B Management in a NYC hotel
*Experience in a management or supervisory role in a Union environment
*Strong Leadership skills
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
*Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
*Knowledge of MICROS computer systems
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
*Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
*Foreign language a plus
*Excellent safety and sanitation standards.
*Union experience strongly preferred with knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement.
