Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work hand-in-hand with the Director of Engineering to ensure a smooth operation of the hotel, facilities, and garage area.
Assist in the selection, supervision, development, appraisal, counseling, and disciplinary action of associates as needed.
Responsible for monitoring compliance with state building codes and regulations, OSHA safety codes and adherence to Fire Department standards of safety and evacuation procedures.
Maintain the aesthetics of the exterior and interior of the building.
Recommends alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures
May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a strong asset for the Project Manager.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Cooperates with all Department Heads, sets up departmental meetings, supervisory meetings and internal departmental meetings
Assist in developing an effective emergency plan for hotel. Assist in conducting drills and training staff on the operation of emergency systems and equipment.
Train Managers on emergency procedures, equipment, water, and electrical shutoff etc. Schedule regular inspection and maintenance of all emergency equipment (kitchen hood extinguisher, fire extinguisher, alarm systems, etc.)
The successful candidate should meet the following preferred qualifications:
Minimum 3 -5 years' experience as a lead Engineer preferred. Experience with Food & Beverage equipment is desirable. Certifications in the major engineering disciplines (electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing) are preferred.
