Job Description

This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future.

HVAC Technician (A/C & Refrigeration) is responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and service of all HVAC and refrigeration machinery and components.

The HVAC technician will also be required to develop and test machinery and ensure that inspections meet company standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;

Develop, test and troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration machinery and equipment by applying knowledge of troubleshooting and repair

Fabricate and assemble new or modified HVAC/refrigeration equipment/components

Setup and conduct tests of complete units and components

Record routine maintenance logs

Ensure quality inspections are carried out in line with company standards

Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers

Perform special projects and other responsibilities

The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

Job Requirements

5 years experience, EPA License and strong electrical background.

Must possess fundamental reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Must have good communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to lift 100 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to meet or exceed productivity standards for the position and follow all appropriate policies and procedures. Must possess excellent organizational skills and effectively manage time. Excellent work history and attendance record required. Must be flexible in his/her hours and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must display a positive, pro-active attitude.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Engineer.
  • Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments, employees, and guests.
  • Interfaces daily with the public.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standing for long hours.
  • Lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Repetitive bending, lifting, stooping, climbing, and walking.
  • Generally Normal Temperatures with occasional indoor/outdoor
