REPORTS TO:

Assistant Manager

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Supervisor is responsible for managing the Food and Beverage Department in order to create a dining experience that will ensure guest satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are examples only and not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary. Requirements for this position are necessary for us to reach our fullest potential in providing a superior entertainment experience to our guests.

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission statement, and objectives of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino as well as established policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Assists with hiring and training of all service personnel.
  • Responsible for turning in cigarette machine money to Cage. Responsible for data input for computer system and restocking the cigarette vending machines.
  • Assists in monitoring Food & Beverage Department inventories.
  • Responsible to verify all work schedules and follow proper documentation rules and policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for checking that all bars are clean and all items are in their place.
  • Responsible for checking that all kitchens have been swept, mopped and that all equipment is clean.
  • Assists in making department schedules.
  • Responsible for making sure all coolers that have food items are properly labeled and dated.
  • In the absence of Food & Beverage Manager, is responsible for supervising the shift.
  • Responsible for check out of keys to open and close bars.
  • Responsible for all areas to be properly cleaned and sanitized before closing of shift: buffet kitchen, buffet dinning area, bingo, sports bar, sports kitchen, deli, Cazadores Bar and the Employee Dining Room (EDR).
  • Ensures the safety and security of employees and guests.
  • Maintains and enforces health department rules and policies.
  • Directs the work of twenty five or more employees performing the following functions of guest service, cleaning, stocking, quality control, beverage pricing and maintenance of work stations.
  • Abides by laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • Promptly and professionally handles guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to Department Manager.
  • Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by F & B Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by F & B Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises personnel in their day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent plus three (3) years experience in the restaurant service and beverage area on supervisory role.

Knowledge of computer programs, basic kitchen, and bar equipment.

Basic knowledge of food and beverage.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must have basic math skills.  Some advanced education in math preferred for example Business math, computer math, or a college credited course.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Requires good communication skills both verbal and written.

Required to speak and read English any other language a plus.

Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION:

Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.

Required to obtain and maintain an unrestricted gaming license from the KTTT and NIGC.

It is the responsibility of the employee to have all documents current and valid at all times.
