Ridglea Country Club is a member owned club established in 1954 with over 1900 members.  Ridglea provides members with first class facilities and services.  The Director of Aquatics will provide leadership for the department in fulfillment of Ridglea Country Clubs mission statement.  S/he will maintain the day-to-day operations of the pool providing a safe and clean environment by exceeding expectations for providing customer service. S/he must ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness standards as governed by both the City of Fort Worth and the state of Texas.  S/he will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Aquatics Department team members, including lifeguards and swim and dive coaches. 

1. Hires, trains and supervises staff including lifeguards, swim coaches, and instructors

2.  Formulates weekly work schedules and rotation schedules for all pool employees

3.  Maintains proper chemical balance in pools, and whirlpool and also maintains mechanical equipment in coordination with the Club’s Maintenance Department

4.  Registers members at pool and charges all guests, lessons, etc.

5.   Provides necessary orientation and training for pool staff

6.  Enforces Club rules of safety and conduct

7.  Plans and directs special events, i.e. holidays and Club events

8.   Arranges a program of private and group swimming and diving lessons

9.   Represents the Club in activities as required

10. Develops an annual operating and staffing budget to be approved by the General Manager

11. Develops and implements pool safety program including one hours training per week

12. Schedules, organizes, and runs Club swim/dive team events including meets, social events, camps, and practices

13. Oversees all financial issues of the pool to ensure revenues and expenses are on budget and explains variances should they occur

14. Performs miscellaneous responsibilities in other areas of aquatics in which the General Manager requests
