General Manager

Seeking a highly motivated individual for a Full Service Hotel with a minimum of five years of General Manager experience.  The successful candidate must be self-motivated, creative and enjoy developing a sales and service culture in an atmosphere that is growth and results oriented.  The General Manager is responsible for driving sales, ensuring outstanding guest service and associate satisfaction as well as delivering bottom line results.  The successful candidate must have a background to demonstrate strong financial acumen and experience. This position requires experience in all facets of hotel operations; including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget/forecast creation and management, and the rooms division.  The right candidate will be a strong leader, team player and motivator who will direct the leadership team through effective communication and daily hands-on interaction.  

Job duties include:

•          Manage the daily hotel operations
•          Meet or exceed Gross Operating Profit (GOP) goals.
•          Maximize room revenues and focused on achieving RevPAR goals.
•          Develop and manage the performance of the Financial and Operational plans/budgets and assist in creating the strategy and tactics of the Sales and Marketing plan.
•          Generate and execute capital expenditure plans for capital improvements.
•          Ensure that superior level of service and standards are delivered in all areas.
•          Achieve and maintain overall guest service scores and associate satisfaction scores.
•          Ensure the development and implementation of programs that foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork, safety and security.

Job requirements include:

- The ideal candidate will have full service Hotel experience.
- Must be highly motivated, self-directed with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
- Provide leadership to the departments to achieve their goals and objectives
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong financial acumen, including budgetary and forecasting experience, and demonstrated cost control skills
