Bacara rests on 78 acres of coastal bluff and has a total of 311 luxurious guestrooms and 49 specialty suites including the Sea Haven, The Penthouse and The Presidential. Considered to be one of the most beautiful resorts along the California coast, Bacara offers our guests 2 dining venues: Bistro and our signature restaurant, Miro as well as our full service Bacara Bar and The Spa Cafe. The resort is also complimented by one of the largest Spas in California; the 42,000-square-foot full service facility is equipped with a 3,500 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center, 36 treatment rooms, a salon, a spa boutique, 2 fitness studios and a zero edge saline pool.
Bacara Resort & Spa is currently searching for an experienced Concierge professional, to lead our Concierge team. Qualified candidates will be outgoing, knowledgeable, resourceful, enjoy helping others and highly articulate.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Concierge, preferably at a luxury property (4 stars or above). Ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the Santa Barbara county area including: restaurants, wineries and activities, a Bachelor's Degree or higher education is preferred; computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint); possess strong written and verbal communication skills; experience supervising a team of employees; have knowledge of property management systems (Opera); strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws; have proven ability to implement train and develop strategies; ideal candidate will have a progressive career demonstrating upward mobility within a company/companies.
This role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Promoting Bacara Resort & Spa and its recreation & dining opportunities
- Providing world class luxury service to our guests
- Overseeing and training the concierge Team
- Maintaining relationships with vendor contacts
- Developing a training program to ensure staff is knowledgeable about Bacara and the greater Santa Barbara area
- Attending to and remedying guest concerns
- Monitoring performance
- Ensuring all aspects of the operation run according to Bacara's expectations.
