The Sales Manager is responsible for representing the company to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Listen to customer needs, analyze this information and create tailored proposals. Negotiate and close sales while meeting/exceeding sales targets. Impress customers with tailored proposals, quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner. Work with management throughout the hotel and the Company.
We are looking to add a dynamic Sales Manager to our team! YOU are the perfect candidate if you have the following skill-set:
- Previous related hotel experience. Current market experience a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate leads, build relationships and close the deal
- Proven successful selling and negotiation skills including prospecting and outside calls required.
- Track record for exceeding sales goals
- Complete reports and paperwork assigned
Successful Candidate will be responsible for:
Daily: Business Review, call backs, update traces, review/maintain Top 100 accounts, 25-30 calls (except when on outside calls), group in-house, daily planner.
Weekly: Review market plan/action plan - transfer goals to daily planner, Outside calls, review leads with DOS, plan short term goals, site inspections, turn in daily planner to DOS with following week's agenda.
Monthly: Open house/breakfast presentations, attend monthly sales meeting, review profit and loss, successfully complete shop calls, reward top producers, generate promotions, summarize account maintenance room nights for month.
Quarterly: Prepare quarterly action calendar for review with DOS, check goals for upcoming quarter, attend educational seminars.
