Summary:
Function as strategic leader for yield management strategy. Position is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory management for transient and group room revenue. Oversee all processes associated with demand, inventory management and opportunity analysis. Identify future revenue opportunities and effectively communicate strategies to sales strategy team.
Job Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Lead the Revenue Management efforts of each property
- Establish strategies designed to increase top-line revenue
- Communicate with the GM, DOS and Property Sales Team as well as the above property VP of Ops, RDSM and SVP Sales Dimension team
- Support sales and operation teams with associated revenue management issues
- Develop pricing strategies
- Measure track performance, summarize and communicate progress to property and leadership
- Analyze historical and forecasted performance
- Spearhead and implement strategies (restriction, allocation, mix and threshold) aimed at maximizing total hotel revenue and profit
- Contribute to the development of Marketing Communication Plans as well as budgets
- Set individual goals (which align with the property goals and strategies) for the RM functions
- Facilitate Strategy Meetings
- Analyze STAR data to ensure that the hotel is maintaining and/or increasing their market share
- Conduct on-going competitor price/product analysis to ensure competitive rate positioning
- Manage and assist with group and transient room authorizations, restriction and selling strategies ( could involve creating the rate programs as well)
- Monitor the pick-up and cutoff dates for groups and or audit all group activities.
- Define and update property specific information in all brand related systems
- Monitor changes in trends in revenue management systems, make any updates and communicate information as necessary
- Assist in keeping all rate programs / SRP's in working order for maximization of revenues, this may include building and maintaining rate programs / SRP's
- Contribute to the development of the group pricing strategy from a total hotel perspective
- Provide second-level review of large/complex opportunities to sales and event management
- Formulate pricing strategy recommendations for all customer segments and sub-segments
- Ensure data integrity in all systems and tools
- Evaluate and communicate need dates as well as recommend strategies designed to maximize revenue over those dates
- Mentor and train on systems as needed
- Critique results of long-term and short-term strategies as well as overall property performance
- Define mix strategy recommendations.
- Monitor all third party websites that are standard for the brands i.e. Expedia, Hotels.com, Travelocity, etc. to ensure rate parity and integrity
- Assist hotels to ensure that accounts are able to reserve rooms by their preferred method ie. GDS loads or booking codes.
