The exciting 4-star HILTON SAN FRANCISCO FINANCIAL DISTRICT, with 20,000 square feet of modern and functional meeting space, ideally located at the crossroads of the Financial District, North Beach, and Chinatown, has an immediate opening for an innovative and experienced Food & Beverage Manager (Evening) to join our dynamic team!
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets, while maintaining profitability, high quality product and service standards.
They are expected to market ideas to promote business, ensure outstanding guest service and project an energetic presence. This position will support the evening shifts.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Ensure every guest is greeted and that the service delivery is above Brand Standards.
- Create a Welcoming Environment for all guests.
- Active participation in the SALT survey process.
- Assist the F & B Director in developing and implementing training and motivation programs for the employees utilizing the Brand Service Standards.
- Ensure all employees are properly trained, dressed (including name tags) and prepared to professionally represent our Hotel.
- Educate and inspire employees with current wine, sprit and beer knowledge.
- Participate in observing, coaching and the discipline of employees as required.
- Manage inventories, pars and submit supply requisitions.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are enforced at all times.
- Manage labor costs, rest breaks, meal breaks, and all work rules. Maintain high work standards.
- Advise the F & B Director, as needed, to maintain adequate staffing.
- Evaluate daily reports, analyze various levels of server productivity, item usage and oversee cash control.
- Participate in menu planning and restaurant promotions.
- Assist with MOD duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Hotel Management.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of proven experience in a similar size hotel.
- Hotel Union experience required.
Skills:
- Goal-oriented with the ability to keep focus on increasing guest service satisfaction scores.
- Proven experience motivating and training food & beverage team members.
- Outstanding guest service and superior conflict resolution skills are critical.
- Knowledge of food & beverage preparation and presentation techniques.
- Knowledge of the health department rules, liquor laws and food safety regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
