Junior Sous Chef needed for an Masina Trattoria Italiana located inside of the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel

Assist the Executive Chef in operation of food service outlets, while maximizing profits, assuring quality and sanitation controls, supervising staff, and maintaining safety practices

The Junior Sous Chef conducts themselves in a manner which supports the guiding principles:

* Able to communicate with staff and customers
* Supervisory skills including training, communication, and organization
* Prepare food as required
* Able to read and follow recipes
* Able to work all stations including, grill, sauté, pantry, butchering, baking
* Control food and labor costs
* Train staff
* Direct staff in proper sanitation
* Flexible with scheduling as it may change periodically
* Make sure all duties are done in the absence of the Executive Chef

Experience with scheduling, inventory, ordering, banquet functions, payroll & food costs.


* Culinary graduate preferred
* Servsafe certification would be helpful but not necessary
* Minimum 3 years experience in a high volume restaurant or hotel environment
* Excel and computer knowledge
