Catering Sales / Event Sales Manager

We are seeking a Catering Sales Manager who will oversee group sales for a venue located in Park City, Utah.  The catering sales revenues average about $700,000 annually and the position will require this individual to be very hands-on.

BASE SALARY:  $50,000 to $55,000 + commission/bonus potential of an additional $25,000 annually!

This individual is responsible for generating and coordinating special events including Corporate functions and meetings, private affairs, social events and parties, along with the following duties and responsibilities:

• Create new business by cold calling potential clients and contacting previous clients to reschedule events
• Be the face of the company, represent the company at networking events, conventions and meetings and host networking events
• Negotiate proposals for events to meet clients’ needs
• Insure collection of payment for events
• Monitor and track future sales and sold event revenue
• Maintain daily communication with management staff to update on Special Events
• Maintain knowledge and be up to date on local competitors and their offerings
• Increase awareness of the facility through cold calls, sight visits, promotions and networking events.
• Maintain membership with local chambers and industry professional organizations
• Building relationships to ensure repeat and referral business
• Work within team environment to achieve common team goals

• 3+ years as Catering Sales Manager, Catering Director or Event Manager (within a hotel or catering venue)
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
• Solid career progression and job stability
• Desire to relocate to beautiful Park City, Utah
