DEPARTMENT: Guest Services
* Communicate clearly, honestly and effectively with hotel guests

Duties and Responsibilities (Breakfast Host/Hostess)
* Complies with the Health Department laws and regulations as well as Hampton Brand Standards for preparing and serving all breakfast items.
* Plans and complies with breakfast menus according to the predetermined schedule, brand standards and General Manager's instructions.
* Prepares breakfast buffet set up and ensures complete cleanliness and organized working condition of equipment in the area.
* Maintains inventory of food and utensils.
* Prepares daily breakfast menu of hot and cold foods.
* Greets guests and monitors the dining area during meal time to ensure adequate supplies and that guest needs are met.
* Follows required sanitation procedures for food handling safety.
* Responds promptly and appropriately to any guest questions or concerns.
* Break down breakfast area at end of service and ensure the facility is clean and ready for next day.

Duties and Responsibilities (Meeting Room Service)
* Review "Groups and Events Binder" and complete meeting room service according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO) contracts and/or instructions.
* Maintain consumption inventory for all beverages including water dispenser.
* Respond or forward any guest questions or concerns to the correct Guest Services personnel

SKILLS NEEDED
* Strong customer service skills with emphasis in "connecting" with guests
* Must know how to prepare hot & cold items per the breakfast menu (ServSafe certification helpful, but will train/test)
* Must be able to work as a team player and pass on communication effectively
* Strong commitment to guest satisfaction and loyalty
* Strong customer service skills and work ethic
* Ability to complete all tasks within the set time schedule
* Must be available 5 days from 5am - 1pm, with day of week flexibility

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time without taking a break.
* Ability to bend at waist and work on knees.
* Capable of washing dishes, preparing items in the oven and serving breakfast items.
* Ability to reach over head, stand on a stool, and pick up heavy items.
* Capable of organizing and cleaning all areas of the kitchen and breakfast area
* Ability to lift boxes and carry up to 40 pounds.

The shift starts at 5am, so we are looking for an "early-bird" that is ALWAYS on time.  Those with attendance or tardiness problems need not apply, please!

Candidates with Hampton Inn certification is desired but not a requirement. Anyone who has worked in a restaurant or in the food/beverage department of a hotel as a cook or host/hostess is highly desireable.
