You are

An extremely hard-working collaborative leader who brings a successful hotel sales management track record, strong organization skills, flexibility, and poise to your position as Director of Sales.   You thrive on dealing with ambiguity and crazy challenges.

We need you

To develop and implement the hotel's total sales effort, including securing new accounts, penetrating existing accounts (this means you'll be selling), and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel.

To play major role in yield management to increase ADR, occupancy, and REVPAR

To develop and manage the departmental budget to ensure that actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan

To accurately report and analyze variances/projections to determine appropriate strategies

To take the lead in building interdepartmental relations

To develop and maintain beneficial relationships with representatives of local community organizations and corporations

 

 

You’ll possess the following

Excellent communication skills with the ability to sell, negotiate, and influence prospects, existing clients, hotel guests, and colleagues

Advanced knowledge of sales and hospitality principles and practices

Results-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence, i.e., memos, letters, reports, proposals, contracts

Appropriate and accurate grammar and punctuation in written communication

Ability to maximize impact, maintain interest, and establish a rapport with an audience when conveying information

Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources

At least five years' experience as a director of sales in successive positions of growth

Willingness to work comfortably and effectively in an environment of uncertainty and change

Background in using e-commerce to build appropriate business for your hotel

Capacity to show respect for and sensitivity to differences among people

Four-year degree or equivalent

English is a must; other languages are a plus

Basic math skills
