RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Manages the Front Desk, PBX , Bellman and Concierge personnel.
2. Is responsible for training new employees in the Front Office Department.
3. Completes departure report and follows up with the Housekeeping department on late check-outs.
4. Reviews discrepancy report from housekeeping; resolves discrepancies.
5. Maintains key inventory, and ensures its security.
6. Assists the guests with pertinent information concerning the hotel's accommodations, services and features,handles special requests, and resolves complaints.
7. Runs daily system reports; i.e., arrivals, departures, occupancy, house count, etc., and distributes according to established guidelines.
8. Performs and/or supervises the bucket check nightly.
9. Performs shift closing procedures and reviews all work performed during the shift.
10. Interfaces with Audit shift and housekeeping to ensure a continuous and smooth running operation.
11. Ensures that all problems, complaints, and special instructions are logged in the Front Office Manual.
12. Sells the hotel in the most efficient way, maximizing occupancy and average rate in order to surpass budgeted objectives.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager
14. Exercises the hotel's policies and procedures in reference to the aforementioned points.
