Director of EGD

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Technician Manager will assist in the supervision, administration and coordination of the day to day Electronic Gaming Device (EGD) technical operations and will be responsible for EGD project planning; project implementation; gaming machine performance and statistical analysis; and placing, replacing, and removing machines on the gaming floor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and employee concerns and questions.
  • Works with the Director of EGD and EGD Manager to develop and achieve goals and objectives for the department. Also provides leadership and motivation to staff at all levels and promotes professionalism.
  • Recommends, develops and implements strategies to improve policies or processes to enhance guest gaming experience.
  • Establishes internal operating procedures that safeguard and protect Tribal assets, guests, employees and Tribal property.
  • Responsible for all EGD machines technical functions. This includes projects, preventative maintenance, vendor communications, server issues, and malfunctions.
  • Assists in the managing and monitoring the EGD Department budget.
  • Maintains the EGD master file, EGD Floor Plan and forwards copies to the Kickapoo Gaming Commission and Compliance Department on a monthly basis.
  • Maintains accurate on-line records of all Electronic Gaming Devices and conducts slot analysis to identify and or recommend machines conversions, changes or moves.
  • Responsible for floor map and AutoCAD updates.
  • Develops, monitors, measures and improves customer relations skills for all technical staff.
  • Communicates with the IT and Maintenance staff to address any networking or maintenance issues which may affect the outcome of a project.
  • Conducts and attends department training and meetings as required.
  • Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or ability required.   • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Must have AutoCAD experience
  • Must have firm knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises day-to-day activities; provides training, planning, assigning and directing work; interviews and hires; appraises performance, rewards, and disciples employees; corrects and approves time cards, schedules time off, and posts shift bids; and addresses complaints and resolves problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED. Must have five (5) years of EGD and or slot operations experience. Supervisory or management experience required. Previous casino opening experience, casino floor re-designs or expansions desired. AutoCAD experience required. Auto-Cad certification a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must possess better than average math skills with ability to compute or analyze pay scales/pay outs, par percentages, averages, FTEs or budgetary particulars.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION:

Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States. Required to obtain and maintain an unrestricted gaming license from the KTTT and NIGC. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.
