Sous Chef

CULINAIRE, a dynamic, privately-owned food and beverage management company headquartered in Texas, is seeking a Sous Chef for the Embassy Suites Plaza in Kansas City.
As Sous Chef you will be responsible for:
- Supervising, coordinating and participating in the activities of the culinary team
- Overseeing both banquet and a la carte operations
- Ensuring quality, consistency and creativity are at the highest level while maximizing the operations’ personnel and resources
What we're looking for:
- Minimum three years of culinary/cooking experience
- Supervisory experience
- High volume restaurant/grill experience
- Banquet experience
- Understanding of food and labor cost control, effective inventory management, purchasing and kitchen sanitation
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
