Director of Sales & Marketing

The Airtel Plaza Hotel is looking for a dynamic, energetic, customer service oriented Director of Hotel Sales and Marketing.

The Airtel Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley next to the Van Nuys Airport. Our rated 3 Star property has 267 oversized guest rooms and suites, 21,000 square feet of flexible function space which includes 18 Meeting Rooms, 2 Ballrooms, Landings Restaurant, The Clipper Lounge and Clipper Cafe Bistro among other hotel amenities.

The Director of Hotel Sales and Marketing is responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of revenue generation at the hotel includes direct sales, catering sales, room sales and promotions. This position oversees 9 employees and reports to the Resident Manager.

• 5 years minimum in Sales Management experience with an independent and corporate hotel experience with similar size property
• Must have knowledge of Local, Corporate, Transient and Group markets
• Must have strong knowledge of Revenue Management
• Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Able to develop a marketing plan and sales budget
• Possess strong time management and organization skills
• Possess exceptional detail in follow-up and lead by example
• Communicate effectively with staff, management and guests
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems with independent judgment
• Able to effectively communicate to co-workers, owners and guests
• Able to travel and work flexible schedule
• Possess strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Delphi knowledge
• Have a hands-on approach management style
