We are currently seeking Human Resources Manager to work at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY, and the Saratoga Track in Saratoga Springs, NY. The ideal candidate will be professional and possess excellent organizational and communication skills

The ideal candidate will oversee all Human Resources functions, including recruiting, hiring and employee relations. Oversee the maintenance of all personnel records. Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations regarding the HR function.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Guide Human Resources Department in all daily/annual Corporate initiatives
- Implement recruiting functions, including scheduling job fairs; recruitment advertising and recruiting of employees and volunteer groups.
- Oversee hiring process. Ensure that hiring is completed according to all applicable laws, paperwork is accurate and new/re-hire evaluations are performed.
- Implement and organize discipline and discharge, coaching and counseling and assist in employee relations.
- Responsible for coordination of all interviews, application and pre-employment processes, partnering with all departments to identify and select the most qualified candidates.
- Ensures optimum staffing levels exist throughout the unit at all times for operational success.
- Managing file retention and employee records in accordance with policy.
- Performs this by partnering with all departments to proactively meet staffing needs, inclusive of hourly, salary and temporary associates.
- Develops and leads "check-in" processes and procedures.
- Responsible for the coordination of all departmental orientation of new employees, on-the-job training, and informing them of all appropriate safety and sanitation requirements.
- Administers employee recognition programs. Champions positive employee relations.
- Responsible for conducting all training using Centerplate and Client Frontline Training programs and to identify training needs and track progress.
- Demonstrates leadership for the Human Resources function by utilizing sound, professional judgment during recommendation and decision making processes.
- Proactively ensures that HR Audits are completed and compliant.
- Ensures that all governmental regulations are compliant relative to FLSA/wage and hour laws.
- Cultivate involvement with community events that strengthen company presence.
- Act as internal consultant for other department managers and supervisors on employee relations, legal issues, as well as Corporate policy and procedures administration and interpretation.
- Coordinate staff training and incentive programs.
- Scheduling and staffing of employees/associates and tracking of labor dollars.
- Conduct investigations, prepare cases, recommend courses of action, and work in conjunction with counsel on workers compensation, and other employee and labor relations' issues.
- Process all employment verifications.
- Implement annual/routine employee programs.
- Auditing files: assisting with economic assistance forms and letters, maintaining employee bulletin boards, posting job openings, and safety information, other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate company service events as necessary and appropriate.
- Setup and supervise hiring fairs, meeting, and community events to promote the employment potential.
- Generate/originate publications and policies.
- Update employee manual and other employee publications as needed by change and updates to such publications as approved by the Corporate Office.
- Coordinate and implement preparation of human resources reports.
- Supervise production and mailing of monthly newsletter.
- Generate annual/routine reporting of HR Department.
- Drive special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in HR Management required and a minimum of 5 years experience in HR field, preferably in F&B Operations such as a stadium, arena, hotel or high end/high volume catering environment.
HR Certification a plus.
