The Hampton Inn Columbia, located in beautiful Howard County, Maryland and within close proximity of Baltimore, the University of Maryland at Baltimore, and BWI Airport is currently seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, individual with Hotel Sales experience, preferably with the Hampton Inn or Hilton brands, to fill the open position of DIRECTOR OF SALES.

The successful candidate will possess the experience to drive the hotel's revenue by conducting outside sales calls, obtaining and managing key business accounts, conducting site tours, telemarketing, and networking at local area business events. This individual will also be responsible for creating hotel-specific promotional material, and constant communication with the General Manager and Regional Director of Operations.

* Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience REQUIRED.
* Previous DOS experience with the Hampton Inn or Hilton brand and/or upscale select service hotels preferred.
* Must be highly motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and desire for achievement.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
* Must be able to "Close the deal."
* Must be a leader, a driver, and bottom line oriented.
* Experience using Hotel Sales Force Automation (Delphi, Goldmine, Sales Force One, etc.) a PLUS!
