The General Manager position at Red Roof Inns, Inc. is the entrepreneurial leader of the hotel. Each GM has discretion over the decision making for the entire operation. Red Roof Inns, Inc. is looking for someone with strong training skills,a passion for sales and attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities
• Responsible for the management of each of the five main departments including the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry and Sales
• Responsible for leading each employee in providing high quality customer service
• Daily exceed expectations of guests and clients
• Use business savvy to operate these departments as each sees fit
• Manage the P&L and budgets
• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, coaching, and terminating employees
• Develop/implement employee schedules
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in hotel, restaurant or retail management required
• Profit and loss and budgeting experience strongly preferred
• Sales background and rate/yield management experiences are preferred
• Relocation may be required within 1-2 years
