SUMMARY: Providing restaurant guests with friendly and professional service, excellent food quality, strong price value and consistency of execution in an attractive, well-marinated environment. (Along with the General Manager's guidance, assist in the creation and development of an annual marketing plan to penetrate new sales opportunities and maximize use within existing markets). Further responsibilities include personnel development objectives and meeting the company's financial goals.
The essential hospitality standards must be used at all times: eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname!
This is a full time position for early mornings. We’re looking for someone who has deep restaurant experience; and is available weekends too. Grooming is important as well as attitude and personal drive is also another factor in hiring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide fair and consistent seating of guests.
Receive and record reservations by phone or in person.
Accurately handle paperwork.
Receive incoming calls.
Take room service calls and orders (if necessary).
Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness.
Assist in bussing tables as needed.
Maintain a clean podium.
If any orders are "carry-out", package and check-out (if necessary)
Stock host/hostess stand.
Refill beverages as business demands.
Provide information to guests as requested.
Perform other restaurant and customer service related requests to guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
SERVICE:
Proper guest service requires and employee staff that is thoroughly trained in service sequence, product knowledge, and makes every effort to meet the needs of each and every guest. It is the Supervisor's responsibility to lead service education through:
- Communicate with staff either in pre or post shift meetings regarding changes in menu/beverages and company policy.
- New server, busser, host and bartender training programs;
- Ongoing development programs, seminars;
- Daily evaluation of restaurant service performance;
- Employee discussion and evaluations;
- Coordination of timely food production.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
