This Catering Coordinator will serve as first point of contact for callers and visitors contacting the catering office/department and respond to inquiries. Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. The Catering Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing support to the Director of Catering and the Catering/ Sales team. This person is responsible for maintaining the catering system records, filing systems, computer files, tracking of processes and contracts. The position requires performance of general administrative duties inclusive of answering phone lines, photocopying of documents, sorting through mail, maintaining, ordering of office supplies, writing routine letters, data entry, assisting and coordinating client site visits and ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets are conducted, etc. The Catering Coordinator will report the Director of Catering and the Catering Managers.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; plus one year of office clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Proficient in MS Word/Excel and Power point is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are essential, must be able to multi task, have outstanding attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well in high paced environment.
  • Previous customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
