The Guest Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all front office operations including front office, night audit, bell service/drivers, club lounge, and PBX operations to insure profitability, control costs, and quality standards ensuring total guest satisfaction. Manages and motivates all Guest Service associates with the daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling and monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction.  Checks room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, and departmental budgeting to maximize revenue.  Organizes and conducts pre-shift meetings and other departmental meetings to effectively communicate with staff.  Receives and resolves all guest complaints in a timely manner and within guidelines of the company.  Assists in check in/check out of guests or any related guest service activities.  Participates in Manager on Duty responsibilities.  Performs any other duties as assigned or requested to ensure success of the hotel.

A qualified candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in the hotel industry and minimum of 1 year of experience in front office management/supervisory role.  Prior Assistant Front Office Manager experience preferred.  Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality related field preferred.  Exceptional guest relations skills required.  Must be flexible with work schedule requirements.  Exhibit skills necessary to manage multiple tasks.  Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration and reservations.  Thorough organization and managerial skills.  Ability to train and develop staff to enhance advancement in the hotel & corporation.  Ability to analyze complex statistical data and make judgments accordingly.  Ideal candidate with Starwood background/experience highly preferred but not required.
