Chief Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the engineering and maintenance department of a 170-room select service hotel. To be successful, a person in a Maintenance manager position must develop and demonstrate effective strengths in many general skill areas in addition to any job specific skill requirements. This position oversees a staff and requires supervisory experience.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the highest level of guest service

* Maintain equipment log, monthly tool inventory and checkbook.

* Maintain maintenance room, boiler room, electrical room and equipment room in a clean and organized manner.

* Executes a Preventative Maintenance program.

* Meet or exceed expense guidelines. Utilize financial controls to maximize efficiency, participates in the negotiation of purchases and service contracts to drive the best possible price on all terms.

* Manage maintenance staff scheduling, training, and productivity.

* Communicate via email and written reports in a clear and concise manner. Shares key information with associates to foster a clear understanding of safety, security and maintenance of the hotel.

* Participate as a member of the Executive Management team, assisting with decision making throughout all departments in the hotel.

Candidates for consideration will possess a minimum of 1 year in a maintenance manager or Chief Engineer role
