Assistant Director of Housekeeping

Location: US - FL - Palm Harbor
Co-Manage the day-to-day and long term operations of the Housekeeping department with a primary focus of the Public Space. This position will work in partnership with the Assistant Director of Housekeeping for the Guest Rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage the daily operations of the Housekeeping public areas, and where applicable, the other areas of the Housekeeping team. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the departments. Manage the selection, training and development of employees with an eye toward maximum employee satisfaction, productivity and guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of the resort to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards. Manage operating expenses to maximize costs while providing excellent guest services.
Coordinate department's activities with other departments to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction. Bear ultimate responsibility for monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
Oversee divisional matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Innisbrook rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the resort's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years management experience in housekeeping or at least 1 year at property of greater then 600 rooms
Ideal candidate will have experience in a major resort, hotel or Time Share environment leading a Housekeeping team of 30+ associates. Must have strong experience with motivational strategies as well as developing and holding staff accountable for high goals.
