Controller

The Longboat Key Club & Resort, is seeking an experienced hotel/resort Controller . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, five plus years of hands-on experience in a hotel accounting environment and a strong background in computerized hotel systems, to include front of the house in addition to back office systems.  

This position oversees and trains the accounting, purchasing, receiving and night audit positions.  The Controller works in coordination with and reports to the corporate office on all aspects of hotel accounting, to include general ledger reconciliation, monthly and quarterly sales tax filing, timely monthly financials, balance sheet analysis, and year-end closings as well as all policy, procedure and internal control compliance . This position will work closely with the ownership and the management company of the resort which is currently undergoing an extensive renovation.

• Reconciling Franchise Fees and Account for all Incentive Programs Offered Through the Brand

Preferred credentials and skills include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Experience with Solomon Accounting Systems 
• CHAE designation 
• IT Support skills
• Microsoft Office with a strong proficiency in Excel
