We are currently recruiting a Junior Level Sales Manager for our three Manhattan hotel properties. (Holiday Inn Lower East Side, Holiday Inn Midtown West & Comfort Inn Theater District West) The Sales Manager will assist the Area Director of Sales with the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for the hotel, including securing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts, to maximize the profitability of the hotel and maintain customer satisfaction.

The Sales Manager is friendly, outgoing, and sells hotel guest rooms through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues and profits. Establishes client base of organizations, associations, and is proactive with attracting "new" corporate accounts through direct outside sales efforts. Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/or convention business. Negotiates guest room rates and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract. Conducts tours of the hotels and entertains qualified potential clients. Responds quickly to guest requests and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

The Sales Manager is also responsible for maintaining sales files, SalesPro database and developing weekly and monthly sales reports in accordance with the sales procedure standards. Will be instrumental in developing and implementing the yearly Sales and Marketing Plan and Quarterly Action Plans.

A minimum of two years hotel sales experience is required. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude, strong prospecting skills, and fluent communication skills that include the ability to write, organize, perform cold calls and deliver supreme guest service satisfaction. The ability to close business is a must. The Sales Manager is a team player that epitomizes professionalism and communicates effectively with all hotel departments.

Minimum of 2 year of hotel sales experience required with proven results. Exceptional communication, time management, and leadership skills are a must. Above average aptitude with experience in utilizing in MS-word and MS Excel are required.

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must be able to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.

Must demonstrate effective strengths in productivity, client relations, revenue management, financial management, marketing, lead generation and communications. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic budget knowledge. Must be able to effectively communicate to all stakeholders in a friendly and positive manner, must have the ability to meet/exceed budgeted sales goals, must be organized and able to manage departmental interaction.
