Long Beach Marriott hotel and resort is looking for a strong and outgoing Sales/Catering Coordinator . We are a full service hotel with 310 rooms and a friendly staff. The ideal candidate will assist the executive management team and the sales team with administrative duties and special projects.
Job Duties :
1) Answer all phones lines in the executive office, ensuring all inquires are dealt with accurately, timely and in a professional manner.
2) Qualify/screen all phone calls and walk-ins, and then disburse off to the appropriate sales managers.
3) Administrate Delphi input with regards to banquet event orders and convention resumes with appropriate cover letters by utilizing menu management.
4) Assist the Executive management team with reports to keep the management team abreast of activities and goal production.
5) Maintain file management system using Delphi system. Maintain inventories and par levels on all supplies.
6) As needed, help out with booking catering and sales events. Must be kept familiar with all forms, prices and filing of Delphi system for purpose of cross training for future advancement.
Requirements :
Must have strong knowledge on Delphi and computer skills.
Must have knowledge with food and detailing events.
Must be familiar with banquet event order (BEO).
Must have a friendly personality and enjoy helping guest.
Must have 3-5 years of administrative, sales or hotel experience.
Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure and enjoy fast paced work environment.
Hours are Mon-Fri from 8:00-4:30 pm
Pay range $13.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience.
Position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing
