Job Description:

The Conference Services Manager will supervise and service all aspects of the written sales agreement between the Conference Center and Client. Acts as liaison between the Client and the Conference Center, by directing each department as to their specific role in the on-site Conference. Successful achievement of this goal will ultimately result in a major contribution to the re-booking of group business for future dates. Maximizes revenues through effective up selling of services. Promotes services for future group business.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to affected departments and team members
- Directly serves Group Contact in a proactive manner relative to greeting Client, Room Signage, Room Setup, Food and Beverage and Audio Visual Requirements as detailed in client’s BEO (Banquet Event Order) or as specified by Group Contact
- Ensure that all appropriate communication for upcoming business is complete and distributed in a timely manner to the management team
- Work with the service staff to see that message handling with administrative support is efficiently handled and placed in the computer based system immediately
- Uses computer systems (Word, Excel and Delphi.Net) to prepare BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders), Daily and Weekly Event Reports & Correspondence relative to group activity. Copies and distributes to the Director of Sales& Marketing, Director of Operations, Front Desk and Banquet Staff
- Participates in internal and external meetings as determined by the Director of Sales & Marketing i.e., BEO (Banquet Event Order) Meeting, Weekly Overview, Morning Standup. Participates in development and measurement of personal and team goals and action plans

Qualifications:
- A BS degree preferred but not necessary if candidate has related conference services experience.
- Have a least 2 years hotel or conference center experience.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, share information with all staff.
- Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills.
- Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business.
