Job Description

Taggia, a coastal Italian cuisine restaurant at FireSky Resort is looking for an AM food server to join their team! This position will serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner.  All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork.

I.Opening responsibilities

 

  1. I will arrive to work on time.

 

  1. I will maintain a neat grooming appearance, and shall dress accordingly, in a clean, pressed uniform.

 

  1. I will promptly punch into the timecard machine and immediately begin my opening side work.

 

  1. I will attend the pre-shift line-up and familiarize myself with the shift specials and daily information.

 

  1. I will cheek the service stations and tables and ensure correct set-up and cleanliness.

 

  1. I will check with the manager on duty regarding any special needs.

 

II.Service Procedure

 

  1. I will follow all sequence of service guidelines according to the manual and job description.

 

  1. I will strive to be cooperative with coworkers as much as possible.

 

  1. I will strive to resolve conflicts with other employees or see a manager if I am unable to improve.

 

  1. I will assist the (Restaurant Name) dining services (if necessary), when and where appropriate.

 

  1. I will answer the phone and assist with seating guests.

 

  1. I will bus and assist with resetting tables.

 

  1. I will know the menu items an daily specials (ingredients and preparation).

 

III.Closing Duties

 

  1. I will follow all posted closing responsibilities per appropriate station, and I will assist others with their duties when and where appropriate.

 

  1. I will report the following suggestions and inconsistencies to Management:
  • Stains & broken fixtures
  • Smells and unsanitary conditions
  • The need for adjusting pars
  • Misuse of machinery and work areas

 

C.   I will report to the closing manager that my closing responsibilities have been completed.

 

IV.General Responsibilities

 

  1. I will maintain open communication channels with my coworkers and managers.

 

  • I will check in and out with appropriate manager on duty upon arrival and departure of the general functions and operations and bring any problems to the manager’s attention.
  • I will attend monthly departmental meetings.
  • I will check bulletin board for daily assignments and other pertinent information.

 

  1. I will be familiar with and strictly adhere to A.B.C. liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors or intoxicated guests. (See Understanding Liquor Laws in service manual).

 

  1. I will immediately report any other out-of-the ordinary issues to the managers.

 

  1. I will adhere to all policies and procedures established for (Restaurant name).

 

  1. I will follow al safety guidelines to ensure my safety and that of our guests and fellow employees.

 

  1. I will maintain a positive attitude and treat everyone I come into contact with the same respect that I deserve.

 

  1. I will exhibit good judgment in executing all aspects of my position.
  • I will unpack deliveries, stock bar and change beer kegs.

 

Job Requirements

This position requires food serving experience and food handler certification.  This position requires customer service minded individuals that strives to create a dining experience for all customers.
