The Meritage Resort and Spa is seeking a Purchasing Manager to manage and direct the purchasing and procurement operation.

The Meritage Resort and Spa, an idyllic Napa Valley luxury hotel and resort, has recently completed its expansion and become a 503 room resort with the most comprehensive event and meeting space in the wine country. This 4-Diamond Tuscan inspired resort includes private hillside vineyards as well as our Estate Cave featuring Spa Terra, a beautiful underground luxury spa, Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room and a grand Entertainment Cave for private dinners for up to 180 guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating and keeping abreast of new and more efficient products available in the market
  • Building strong business relationship with supply vendors
  • Manage inventories to ensure optimal par level and reduce cost
  • Implement operation and control procedures
  • Analyze consumption of goods with each department and coordinate interdepartmental purchasing
  • Partner with Director of Operations, Chef, and Controller

 

 

 

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience
  • Hotel/resort experience a plus
  • Ability to negotiate prices for products
  • Ability to secure prices long term
  • Hands on
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Computer excellent with excel and cost control
