Our award-winning property, the Golden Hotel, has an immediate opening for a full-time Banquet Chef.    

Banquet Chef, reports to the Executive Chef; assists and supports the executive Chef in various responsibilities.  Supervises and coordinates the production, preparation and presentation of food for the banquet / catering functions in safe and sanitary work environment.  Strives to achieve profitable, competitive, quality products.

The Golden Hotel features over 6000 square feet of banquet space, hosting corporate meetings, weddings and many other special private events.  

Banquet Chef must with strong leadership skills, a passion for catering and desire to exceed our clients’ expectations and create memorable experiences.
 

Qualifications include:
Culinary Degree or equivalent experience required (minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in a banquet kitchen)

  • From Scratch cooking
  • Strong organizational skills and innovative skills
  • Able to oversee banquet menu development, recipe creation, methods of preparation and cooking, and checks the sizes for portioning standards and quality control
  • Ability to inventory, cost and order for all banquet events
  • Initiate, promote and enforce safety and sanitation procedures
  • Able to lead and teach subordinates in the kitchen and food and beverage operation as a whole
  • Able to communicate and work well inter-departmentally within the hotel
  • Computer experience preferred (Microsoft Office, Sales Pro, POS systems)
  • Open availability required: including days, nights, weekends and holidays


This is a full-time position, reports to the Executive Chef.  Compensation commensurate with experience.  We offer full-time employees medical and dental benefits, a generous Paid Time Off program, 401(k) and hotel discounts.  Other perks include free parking, great location and cool company culture.
