Responsibilities include, but are never limited to:
- Celebrate our culture of individualism, engagement, having fun and evolving theWit experience for every guest every time.
- Recognize the importance of literature, humor, music, science, theater and culinary arts in making theWit more experience than hotel.
- Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times.
- Walk all set event space to ensure the proper set up and all requirements per the Banquet Event Orders are ready for client.
- Meet and Greet on site contracts and confirm event arrangements.
- Meet, Greet and Direct event attendees to proper locations.
- Ensure meeting signage and event boards are accurate.
- Generate food and beverage proposals, generate contracts, set up deposit/ payment schedules, produce event resumes, and BEO’s for operations team and other client correspondence.
- Purge and file past groups and update history files.
- Attend and lead weekly BEO meetings between culinary and restaurant GM’s
- Coordinate outside sales calls, attend trade shows and actively sell in the local market.
- Successfully sell all marketing promotions.
- Complete other duties as outlined by the Director of Restaurants
- Comply with hotel’s Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.
- Be completely knowledgeable of hotel’s emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management
- Lead theWit experience as instructed by the hotel leaders.
All applicants must be qualified in the following:
- Must show 2+ years of successful catering and/or restaurant sales experience.
- Must have the ability to sell and service events from 15 people – 300 people in any of the two food and beverage outlets.
- Must have the desire to learn about the P&L and to understand the financial success of an operation including the managing of F&B revenue generating strategies, forecasting and budgeting.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, restaurant GM’s and internal operation teams.
- Must be able to manage a high level of leads, operate high-end events and actively sell in different markets.
- Must thrive on consistently exceeding guest expectations and have an uncompromising approach to service and follow through.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must have a very professional image and demeanor.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests.
- Ability to make quick decisions based on established policies and procedures.
- Ability to make logical conclusions and recommendations to clients.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Communicate in the primary language of the hotel.
- Show off the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well groomed.
- Be flexible since you are running a 24/7 hotel operation.
