Job Summary

Primarily responsible for the smooth operation of Canyon Ranch Living and Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa, including but not limited to: Front Office (i.e., Reception, PBX, Manager on Duty, Guest Services, Valet and Bell Staff,, pool and beach and any other outlet requiring assistance).  Ensure that the Night Audit procedure is completed nightly and all systems and reports are prepared for next calendar day.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Monitors all overnight Front of House, hotel operations and Canyon Ranch Living.
  2. Handles guest concerns, problems or complaints relating to service and payment.
  3. Handles resident issues related to Safety and Security issues and/or emergencies
  4. Troubleshoots problem situations to assure procedures and processes are examined to prevent problem reoccurrence.
  5. Adheres to Canyon Ranch Standards for Guest Service.
  6. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
  8. Participates in guest service interactions throughout the property and other events as assigned.
  9. Must be well versed with all hotel amenities and outlets to serve as an ambassador to promote them, including, but not limited to our restaurants and Canyon Ranch, center for health and healing.
  10. Works closely with the Loss Prevention department to monitor the overall property security.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  1. Must possess prior hotel management experience.
  2. Must possess 2 to 3 years Front Office or Guest Services managerial experience.
  3. Must possess excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  5. Must possess accounting aptitude.
  6. Must possess a professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner.
  7. Must possess the ability to interact with a variety of people, and remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  8. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  9. Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and enjoy working with a variety of staff and guests.
  10. Must possess working knowledge of computers and software (Microsoft Office).
  11. Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  12. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
